Morocco Earthquake Emergency Appeal
Morocco has been struck with a 6.8 magnitude earthquake with its epicentre in the High Atlas Mountains. The epicentre is just 44 miles away from the city of Marrakech causing major damage to the historical city. The death toll has crossed 1000 with the majority of deaths occurring in the villages close to the origin of the earthquake. More than 1200 have suffered injuries with over 700 in critical condition. Local villagers have been affected the most resulting in many being forced to sleep on the streets.
People are in desperate need of food, water, tents, and medical aid urgently.
